K12 Tech stands apart from the typical tech companies reaching out to your school. With nearly 50 years of experience in the industry, we offer a rich array of partnerships, products, and solutions tailored specifically for K-12 institutions. Unlike others who merely act as intermediaries, we go beyond just selling products. As an authorized dealer for hundreds of solutions, we don’t just provide technology; we forge lasting partnerships with schools. From initial consultation to installation and ongoing training and support, we ensure that every aspect of your tech needs is comprehensively managed. This end-to-end commitment sets us apart from the rest and makes us your dedicated partner in educational technology.
At K12 Tech, our approach is rooted in service, trust, and comprehensive support. We understand the unique challenges faced by educational institutions, particularly regarding safety, security, and communications. Our process involves thorough on-site walkthroughs to assess the specific needs of each school. This allows us to design tailored technology solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems, regardless of their current state.
Our commitment extends beyond installation. We provide comprehensive training to ensure staff are comfortable and proficient with the new systems. Our 8760 IT Support™ offers true 24/7, 365-day coverage, including phone, video chat, and remote login support, as well as immediate on-site assistance when needed. This ensures continuous operation and peace of mind for school administrators and educators.
K12 Tech stands out in the educational technology sector due to our unwavering focus on the specific needs of K-12 schools. Unlike many tech companies that offer advanced systems without proper functionality or training, we prioritize the effective use of our solutions. Our phased approach allows us to design and implement technology upgrades within the constraints of school budgets, avoiding unnecessary expenditures.
We are committed to providing non-proprietary solutions, although we are licensed dealers for many proprietary companies. This flexibility ensures that schools are not locked into multi-year contracts with exorbitant licensing and registration fees. Our solutions enhance both the physical and emotional wellbeing of students and staff, creating a supportive and optimized learning environment.
Since its inception in 1978, Computer Zen has been synonymous with exceptional products, solutions, and support in the technology sector. Steve Dahl, the Founder and CEO, has accumulated nearly 50 years of experience and a vast network of relationships with dealers and manufacturers. His passion for education and commitment to supporting less fortunate students in rural areas inspired the creation of K12 Tech. Still family-owned and headquartered in Idaho, we consolidated our efforts to offer comprehensive, tailored technology solutions. Our mission is to empower schools with the tools they need to create safe, secure learning environments for students, educators, and staff alike.
As Steve Dahl passes the torch to his son and stakeholder, Nathan Dahl, who leads the way as our Senior Project Manager and Director of Technical Support. Nathan is a family man, a father, and a dedicated husband who is committed to serving. He serves as a bedrock for setting the tone and cultural identity of K12 Tech. Nathan has more than 20 years of hands-on experience and technical expertise in the IT world, specifically the safety and security of educational institutions. He leads his team by example, teaching best practices and making sure that we never leave a project without fully training and educating the faculty and staff of the school.
Dr. Chad Kellogg, Vice President of Development at K12 Tech, brings over 25 years of expertise in business development, technology market expansion, and leadership within K-12 education and nonprofit organizations. Holding a Doctorate in Education and extensive teaching experience, Dr. Kellogg is passionate about advancing Unified Technology Solutions to enhance safety, security, and communication in schools. As a devoted husband and father of three young boys, he is unwavering in his commitment to creating safer, healthier learning environments for future generations. "The safety of our children should never be compromised. In an age where technology can fortify our defenses, it is our responsibility to leverage it to protect the most vulnerable members of our society." – Dr. Kellogg
